Shima Seiki to take part at Ctg apparel safety expo

Shima Seiki, a Japanese leading computerised knitting machine manufacturer in cooperation with its partner Pacific Associates will participate at the Apparel and Safety Exposition to be held in  Chittagong next month. Wakayama-based Shima Seiki will be exhibiting the company’s SSR series computerised flat knitting machine in 14G for fine gauge applications at the one-day exhibition at Radisson Hotel in the port city on August 8. Developed as a new industry standard for computerised shaped knitting, SSR112 features high productivity with a maximum knitting speed of 1.2 metres per second, as well as with the R2CARRIAGE System that achieves quicker carriage returns. The SSR112 machine carries over proven Shima Seiki technology, such as DSCS Digital Stitch Control System, full-time spring-loaded sinker system, stitch presser, yarn gripper and cutter, and takedown comb. Made-in-Japan quality, reliability, productivity, user-friendliness and cost-performance combine to satisfy the high expectations the world’s fashion industry holds for Bangladesh, the manufacturer reports. Also on display will be Shima Seiki’s SDS-ONE APEX3 design system that is at the core of the company’s Total Knitting System concept. With comprehensive support of the knit supply chain, APEX3 integrates knit production into one smooth workflow from planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales promotion. Photo-realistic simulation capability allows Virtual Sampling to minimize the need for actual sample-making, effectively reducing time, material and cost while increasing presentation quality in the sampling process, according to the company. APEX3 also supports design and simulation in a variety of other industries such as circular knitting, weaving, pile weaving and printing.
