Gross area and exhibitor numbers have jumped to an all time high for the Messe Frankfurt organised Yarn Expo Autumn to be held from October 13–15, 2015. This year’s autumn fair will take up 8,500 sq. metre gross area and will house over 250 exhibitors, with both figures seeing an increase of over 70 per cent compared to last year. The fair will display a wide range of natural and blended yarns like cotton, wool, flax or regenerated flax, man-made fibres and yarns as well as specialty products including elastic, and fancy and blended yarns. Among all the exhibitors, almost 100 are from overseas, including from Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea, Pakistan, Singapore, Switzerland, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. “Over 150 domestic exhibitors brought in by the China Cotton Textile Association and China Chemical Fiber Association will showcase sophisticated innovative fibres,” Messe Frankfurt said in a press release. “The new National Exhibition and Convention Center venue, allows us to occupy a broader space to accommodate more yarn and fibre suppliers,” Wendy Wen, senior general manager of Messe Frankfurt said. Three special zones will be featured in the autumn fair to demonstrate synthetic fibres from China, including the Advanced Cottony Polyester Fibre Zone. This zone will feature top imitation cotton suppliers in China and will demonstrate how these fibres can be employed in sportswear, overalls and denim outfits. “At the same time, visitors can also learn about the special properties of these fibres through a series of live demonstrations,” Messe Frankfurt added. The second is a Renewable & Recycling Zone, which brings together China’s major renewable and recycling fibre suppliers and will show products ranging from raw materials to finished goods. The Functional Fibre Zone will mainly display polyester, nylon, biochemical fibres, spandex, polypropylene fibres and acrylic fibres. “This zone is the best destination to explore products made with the aforementioned functional fibres which feature moisture absorption, anti-static and UV resistance,” it stated. According to Messe Frankfurt, eco-products, such as environmentally friendly dyed yarns, will also be another highlight of this zone. “The Trend Forum will also be the most authoritative platform for visitors to learn about upcoming fibre trends in China,” the trade fair organiser informed. With a theme of ‘Innovation & Integration’, next year’s trends will be elaborated in four sections namely, Fiber Technology, Fiber Life, Fiber Ecology and Fiber Defense. Yarn Expo Autumn 2015 will be held concurrently with other four textile shows like Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics 2015, China International Fashion Fair 2015 (CHIC), PH Value and Planet Textile.
