Engineer Md. Towhidur Rahman, Managing Director of LIBAS Textiles Ltd, and A. H. Aslam Sani, First Vice-President of BKMEA, exchange documents after signing an agreement recently. In order to attain LEED certificate from United States Green Building Council (USGBC), Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) and LIBAS Textiles Ltd signed an agreement at the conference hall of the BKMEA on Wednesday. Engineer Md. Towhidur Rahman, Managing Director of LIBAS Textiles Ltd and A. H. Aslam Sani, First Vice-President of BKMEA signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations, said a press release. After attaining LEED certificate, LIBAS Textiles Ltd has secured the authority as the claimer of the first environmental-compliant knit composite textiles. Green Building and LEED certificates are prerequisite in order to confirm a factory’s condition in preventing all sorts of disorder as well as in ensuring a safe working environment for the employees.
