A fire broke out at a sweater factory in Chittagong’s Kalurghat area yesterday. None was injured in the incident. Chittagong Fire Service and Civil Defense Deputy Assistant Director Kamal Uddin Bhuiyan said the fire generated from an electric short circuit at Siho Fiber Ltd in Mohora industrial area in Kalurghat around 1am. It spread through the factory burning valuables worth Tk5 lakh. A team of fire fighters doused the blaze after two and half hours of effort, said Kamal.
