The third edition of Texworld Istanbul begins November 3-5, 2015 and will see around 100 exhibitors exhibiting at the trade show. “Texworld Istanbul will bring together the leading players in the textile industry and will play a major role in increasing the commercial volume of the industry,” a press release from Messe Frankfurt, the organiser said. Texworld Istanbul will display the latest products and technologies under the scope of apparel, fashion fabrics and accessories, with participation from companies from other countries, and particularly from Turkey. Tayfun Yardim, managing director of Messe Frankfurt Istanbul said, “Following the Texworld events in Paris and New York, Texworld Istanbul has taken its position as the new member of this strong brand.” “Over 100 international exhibitors will have the opportunity to display their new collections during the exhibition with Turkish brands looking for a larger variety and different qualities of fabrics,” he added. For the first time, Daegu Gyeongbuk Textile Industires Association (DGTIA) and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) are attending this edition. Texworld Istanbul includes all product groups that are part of Messe Frankfurt’s apparel fabric brand events around the world. The exhibitors will present cotton, denim, embroidery and lace, knitted fabrics, shirting, wool and wool blend, functional fabrics, linen and hemp, prints, silk, silky aspects, yarns and fibres, trims, etc. Texworld Istanbul will feature a trend forum focusing on the latest developments of the industry and there will be dedicated conference sessions during the fair. In addition, Texworld Istanbul will again feature a seminar programme and Trend Forum with selected fabrics and accessories from participating exhibitors. The forum will be designed by Texworld’s Art Directors Louis Gérin & Gregory Lamaud and based on the Texworld Paris trends. Ceylan Atinç is hosting a seminar titled ‘Fashion Talk with Ceylan Atinç’ which will address special topics that shape the world of fashion, design and style. These topics include; situation of apparel brands in Turkey, the future of the fashion industry, the position of Turkish fashion in the world and the works of fashion bloggers across the world. Vakko Esmod Fashion Academy too is organising a seminar and a workshop in Texworld Istanbul, which will address topics like fashion design, creativity and implementation process. Application of suit jacket design on the mannequin will be performed using the ‘draping’ technique, a rarely known technique, from 3D pattern techniques during the workshop.
