The three-day US Trade Show 2015 will begin in the capital on November 5 to increase Bangladesh-US bilateral trade and investment further. The upcoming 24th annual trade show is the premier trade event of US in Bangladesh. The American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham) in cooperation with the US Embassy in Dhaka will organise the show, where US products and services will be showcased. Participants are requested to contact AmCham office at former Ruposhi Bangla Hotel to exhibit US products and services at the show that will end on November 7. Over 150 US companies participated in the last year’s trade show, and there were 79 booths. The US is one of the country’s largest foreign investors and trade partners. The two-way trade between Bangladesh and the US is increasing day by day. It has grown over 50 per cent in the past few years. The balance of trade is tilted in favour of Bangladesh. Bangladesh exported goods worth US$ 31.02 billion in different countries across the world during the fiscal year 2014-15. Various products, mainly ready-made garment (RMG), worth $ 5.59 billion, were exported to the US market in the fiscal.
