Export Promotion Bureau in Chittagong organized a seminar on Workplace Safety and other compliance issues related to RMG Industry at the EPB’s conference room in the city. Senior additional secretary of the BGMEA (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association), Dhaka Munsur Khaled presented the keynote paper while CCCI (Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry) director Mahfuzul Haque Shah was the chief guest. EPB director Alamgir Siddiqui said the government earned US$ 31.20 billion against the target of $ 33.20 billion in the financial year 2014-15 at an export growth of 9.06 per cent. In the year 2015-16 the export target has been set at $ 33.50 billion but the export earning in four months till October 2015 was $ 10.13049 billion at a growth rate of 4.95 per cent compared to the correspondent period of the last fiscal year.
