Leathertech Bangladesh 2015, an international tradeshow on machinery, components, leather, chemicals & accessories for leather, footwear and leathergoods sector of Bangladesh will kick off at International Convention City, Bashundara (ICC,B) in Dhaka today. ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd is organising the 3rd edition of the exposition aiming at bringing global technology to the footsteps of the local industry. Nanda Gopal K, Director, ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, announced this at a press conference in Dhaka on Wednesday. Disclosing different aspects of the exhibition, Nanda said, over 140 exhibitors from Turkey, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Italy, Singapore, Japan with a 50 member strong pavilion from India and large pavilion from China will be participating in this three-day event showcasing machinery for tanning leather, manufacturing footwear and leathergoods along with components, dyes and chemicals, accessories, allied products and leather to benefit all sectors of the leather industry. “In a step forward, finished leather is making entry at this year’s leathertech. Based on the feedback received from visitors in the last edition, we decided to showcase finished leather and we are happy that Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA) agreed to take forward this initiative and their members are showcasing finished leather at this edition,” Nanda said.
