With an eye on the ASEAN market, Zund, which specialises in developing and manufacturing digital cutting systems, has established a Thai subsidiary Zund Asia (Bangkok) Ltd. “This step allows us an even better closeness to the customers in South-East Asia,” the Switzerland based company said in a press release. Zünd Thailand Co. Ltd., the previous Zünd-business partner responsible for the Thai market, was integrated in Zund Asia (Bangkok) Ltd. “While, Zünd Asia based in Hong Kong will attend to our Zünd customers in the rest of Asia,” the company informed. In the future, a competence centre in Bangkok will offer the possibility to show Zünd modular cutters in action to prove their productivity and reliability. “Continuing education and regular training for our service technicians as well as a hotline service for remote service will guarantee high machine availability,” it added. CEO Oliver Zünd said, “We are proud of our new office in Bangkok and offers all current and future customers a perfect service and helps us emphasise our claim, ‘Your first choice in digital cutting’ in the ASEAN market.” The Zünd customer base consists of manufacturers and suppliers in many different industries, including graphics, packaging, garment and leather, as well as technical textile and composites. Zünd maintains headquarters in Altstätten, Switzerland, where the company’s R&D, marketing, and production facilities are located.
