Bangladesh is expected to take part in the upcoming China International Import and Export Fair 2015 (Canton Fair) to be held in the Chinese city of Guangzhou from May 1 to 5 next year, reports UNB. Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) with the interested Bangladeshi exporters of different sectors will take part in the fair to exhibit the exportable Bangladeshi items, said an EPB official. To ensure successful participation in the 117th Canton Fair and discussing necessary matters, the EPB will hold a meeting on Sunday at 11:00 am at its building with its vice chairman Shubhashish Bose in the chair, the official sad. Representatives from different trade bodies, including the country’s apex trade body the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industries (DCCI), BCI, BGMEA, BKMEA, ICC,B have been invited to attend the meeting. Popularly known as the Canton Fair, China Import and Export Fair is held biannually in Guangzhou every spring and autumn since 1957. Regarded as the largest scale, the highest level, Canton Fair presents the most comprehensive exhibition covering the widest range of industries and sectors, as well as the richest products and commodities. Canton Fair 2015 likes a golden business bridge, linking insightful overseas buyers with high quality domestic exhibitors. During the fair, men and women’s clothing, kids wear, underwear, sports and casual wear, fashion accessories, fittings, textiles raw materials, fabrics, home textiles, home textiles, international pavilion carpets, and tapestries, furs, leather, downs, office supplies, sports items, travel and recreation products, shoes, bags, medicines, health products and medical devices will be exhibited.
