At least eight people, including a child, were injured in a garment factory’s boiler explosion at Gani General Hospital building of Pallibiddut bus stand in Ashulia on Saturday. The injured were admitted to different hospitals. Critically injured four were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for better treatment. Witnesses said the incident took place when the workers of RN Garment Ltd switched on the boiler. The cause of the explosion could not be identified immediately, police said. The building’s boundary wall was broken down due to the explosion, police added. Production of the factory was suspended after the explosion.
