The government is considering establishing two specialised hospitals in Narayanganj and Gazipur for industrial workers, said State Minister for Labor and Employment Md. Mujibul Haque on Wednesday. The process of implementing the project will begin next fiscal year, he said as the chief guest at a discussion on “Relocation of Hazaribagh Tanneries: Workers’ Perspec-tive,” at Dhaka Reporters Unity in the city. Those suffering from various occupational diseases will get healthcare service at the specialised hospitals, the minister said. Mr Haque stressed the need for ensuring required facilities for the workers engaged in Hazaribagh tannery units after their relocation to Savar as well.
