The business delegation of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) left the capital on Wednesday for Nepal for attending the second Bangladesh Expo there. They will also join in the Bangladesh-Nepal Business Seminar to be held today (January 21) in Kathmandu. President of the FBCCI Abdul Matlub Ahmad is leading the 10-member delegation. The Bangladesh Expo will be held from January 21-25, 2016. The FBCCI delegation is expected to meet the Nepali Prime Minister, Commerce Minister and Commerce Secretary. They will also hold meetings with the leaders of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Federation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). Bangladesh exported goods worth US$ 25 million and imported $ 11.5 million worth of goods during the fiscal year (FY), 2014-15. Bangladesh mainly exports agri products, engineering materials, chemicals, jute and jute goods and knitwear to Nepal. The FBCCI delegation is expected to return home on January 23.
