A female readymade garments (RMG) factory worker allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Shahidpara area under the port city’s Chandgaon Thana early Monday. The deceased was identified as Shahin Akter, 25, wife of Mohammad Azad, hailed from East Gatiadanga village under Satkania upazila of the district. Police said locals found the hanging body of Akter, a worker of a garments factory in the BSCIC Industrial Area in the port city’s Kalurghat, from her rented house at Kabir Mistry Colony of Shahidpara around 12:30am.
