A fire broke out at warehouses of textile-waste in the capital’s Mirpur on early Friday. Fire service and civil defence duty officer Bhojon Sarkar said 12 fire engines were working to put out the fire at the textile-waste market called ‘Jhut Patti’ in the Block-C of Section-10. He said the fire was reported about 12:20am on Friday and until 1:00am the fire fighters were trying to bring the fire under control. Bhojon, however, could not confirm the cause of the fire. The Pallabi police said no causalities were reported.
