The Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce & Industry will organise Dutch-Bangla Expo 2016 at Amsterdam RAI Convention Centre in the Netherlands in April 14-15. A kick-off conference on the Expo was held at a restaurant in Dhaka on Saturday. The plan for the Expo is the outcome of the visit by prime minister Sheikh Hasina to the Netherlands during November 3-5, 2015 to improve trade relationship between the two countries, said a press release. The trade fair is being organised in collaboration with Export Promotion Bureau, the commerce and foreign affairs ministries of Bangladesh. Bangladesh embassy in the Netherlands, Dutch embassy in Dhaka, Board of Investment, Public Private Partnership Authority, Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority, and the FBCCI are supporting the event. DBCCI president Md Hassan Khaled unveiled the logo of the Expo at the conference. DBCCI vice-president Md Atiqul Haque and secretary general Altaf Hossain Biswas, and first secretary (economic affairs & RMG) from the Dutch embassy in Dhaka Pieter de Vries were also present, among others, at the conference.
