Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry president Abdul Matlub Ahmad on Wednesday sought Turkish investment in the country’s ready-made garment and furniture sectors. He made the appeal at a meeting between an FBCCI delegation and a Turkish 23-member business team in the city. Matlub also called upon the team to invest in the construction, textile and PVC-pipe manufacturing. Turkey is a Bangladesh’s genuine friend and development partner, he said. The visit of the business team will further facilitate the existing trade and business relation between the two friendly countries, Matlub added. The visiting team expressed keen interest to import necessary products from Bangladesh. Bangladesh businessmen also could import the potential products from Turkey, the team added. Directors of FBCCI and the representatives of different chambers and associations were also present.
