Dutch-Bangla Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DBCCI) on Monday hosted a reception in honor of Ambassador of the Netherlands Leoni Margaretha Cuelenaere in the city, reports UNB. Director General (Admin), Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Kabir bin Anwar and Chairman, Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) Maj Gen Humayun Khaled, among others, were present. DBCCI President Md Hassan Khaled talked about various activities taken by DBCCI in previous year. He also highlighted the upcoming DBCCI event ‘Dutch-Bangla Expo-2016’ to be held on September 28-29 in the Netherlands. The trade fair is partnered by Embassy of Bangladesh in the Netherlands and coordinated by Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Dhaka, Board of Investment (BOI), Public Private Partnership Authority (PPPA), Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA), and FBCCI are also supporting the event. Ambassador Leoni expressed her gratitude to DBCCI for the Chamber’s activities to develop bilateral trade between the Netherlands and Bangladesh. She assured the best support for DBCCI for their enthusiastic steps forwards developing business for both the countries. Chairman, Standing Committee, Trade Fair and Event Shahriar Taha, DBCCI Vice President Md Atiqul Haque, DBCCI Secretary General Altaf Hossain Biswas and Advisor Economic and Commercial Affairs, Dutch Embassy in Dhaka Monnujan Khanam were present.
