Bangladeshi apparel makers will participate in the international expo titled “Texworld-New York” in the USA in July, 2016 under the banner of the Export Promotion Bureau of Bangladesh.Messe Frankfurt, a German-based international expo organiser, will organise the expo, representatives of the expo organising company said.Ready-made garment (RMG) manufacturers, individual entrepreneurs, women entrepreneurs are willing to display their products of various types like apparel products, RMG related accessories, clothes, handicrafts, home-made products and others items to promote ‘Brand Bangladesh.’ Other exhibitors from different countries across the world will also take part in the event, said expo organisers’ country director Nazneen Salahuddin.Nazneen Salahuddin disclosed this at a press conference at a hotel in the capital on Sunday. Two officials Sumaira Liaqut and Rumana Afroze were also present in the event. Nazneen said, the mega event will be held from July 12 -14, 2016 and the process of registration for the interested participates has already started.Nazneen said, Bangladesh will have a national pavilion organised by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh.A global range of fashion products from the major manufacturing countries of China, South Korea, India, Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and Pakistan will be displayed at the fair, she added. The Bangladesh country director of the organising company said the fair is very important for the manufacturers as the retailers generally visit the expo to have a look on the latest fashion collections.Bangladeshi manufacturers would be benefited by attending the fair. It is an opportunity for them to choose the latest fashions, Nazneen added. Messe Frankfurt officials said, besides the expo in the New York, different RMG makers will take part in Tex-world in Paris in next September.
