The four-day long international expo on textile ended on Saturday with a great response from the participants, visitors and market insiders.It was learnt from expo sources that huge number of foreign buyers visited the expo to find the expected things from the right persons. Besides, participants got enormous feedback from the visitors and received huge volume of orders from the expo.Mohammed, who came from Egypt and working in an international airline, traveled all the way to find a suitable RMG owner for buying t-shirts. “I came to visit the expo for catching a RMG owner to order t-shirt. Met so many people and thinking which option I can take,” Mohammed told daily sun. Belinda, Sales Director, Lanneret Biochemical, Sodium Alginate Manufacturer of China participated at the expo with their products, basically chemicals for dyeing and printing industries. She said, already they have business with lots of Bangladeshi companies, and many of new companies shown interest for their products. It was a fruitful visit for her.Event management organisation CEMS Global organised the four-daylong three exhibitions under one umbrella at the International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital.The events included “17th Textech Bangladesh 2016 International Expo”, “10th Dhaka International Yarn & Fabric Show 2016” and “25th Dye+Chem Bangladesh 2016 Expo”.Meherun N. Islam, President, CEMS Global said, they organised the international shows for the textile and garment industry of Bangladesh. This was a one-stop single platform to showcase the latest developments and emerging technology for the textile and garment industry from home and abroad.The exhibition was the biggest networking place in Bangladesh for buyers and manufacturers, suppliers of equipment and technology of international yarn and fabric industry, she added. Officials said, 1050 companies with 1250 booths from 23 countries across the world are participating in this exhibition and around 90 Indian companies were from India. Industries minister Amir Hossain Amu inaugurated the expo as chief guest.State Minister Ministry of Textiles and Jute Mirza Azam, M.P., Deputy High Commissioner of High Commission of India Dr. Adarsh Swaika, First Vice President of The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Md. Shafiul Islam (Mohiuddin), Md. Siddiqur Rahman, President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA), A.H Aslam Sunny, First Vice President, Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BKMEA) were present as special guests at the inauguration ceremony.
