A month-long Bangladesh International Trade and Export Fair-2016 kicks off today on Halishahar Abahani ground in the port city Chittagong. Chittagong Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CMCCI) is organising the fair which is scheduled to be inaugurated by Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed. Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc, State Minister for Land Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Jabed and Chittagong City Corporation (CCC)’s Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin will be also present at the inaugural ceremony of the fair. “The fair is being ogranised to let the people know about the export products manufactured by our local industries and factories,” said CMCCI President Khalilur Rahman while addressing a press briefing held CMCCI office in city’s Agrabad area. The press conference was attended by CMCCI’s Vice-President Aihussain Akberali, Vice-President AM Mahabub Chowdhury and its Director Sultana Shirin Akter. The trade fair will remain open for the visitors from 10:00am to 10:00pm, said the organisers.
