The visiting Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Food of Slovenia Tanja Strnisa Wednesday expressed interest to import ready-made garments, vegetables and fruits from Bangladesh.”Slovenia can import ready-made garment products, vegetables and fruits from Bangladesh and Bangladesh can import agricultural equipment from Slovenia”, Strnisa said when she called on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam at the latter’s office at the Foreign Ministry.During the meeting, they discussed different issues when they expressed eagerness to further enhance bilateral ties and economic cooperation between the two countries, foreign ministry sources said.Shahriar Alam informed the Slovenian deputy minister about different development programmes undertaken by the present government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the country’s socio-economic progress.He requested the Slovenian junior minister to import pharmaceutical products from Bangladesh as they are international standard.Ms. Strnisa arrived in the city on November 28 on a three-day visit to Bangladesh.
