Local company Sterling Classicwears Limited will invest $ 15 million to establish a garments manufacturing industry at Ishwardi Export Processing Zone, said a press release.The venture will produce 15 million pieces of garments items and create employment opportunity for 5,677 people, it said.Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and Sterling Classicwears Limited signed an agreement in this regard in Dhaka on Thursday.BEPZA member (engr) Mohammad Faruque Alam and Sterling Classicwears chairman Md Siddiqur Rahman signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.BEPZA executive chairman Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, member (finance) Md Mizanur Rahman, and general manager (investment) Md Ahsan Kabir were present at the signing ceremony.
