The Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority or BEZA, has allotted land to 14 investors in the Sirajganj Economic Zone recently.
Media reports maintained this while adding the BEZA has also signed with Japan Development Institute (JDI) the ‘Detail Engineering Plan’ agreement for the said economic zone underlining the signing ceremony was held recently at Dhaka-based headquarters of BEZA, in which was also present BEZA Executive Chairman Paban Chowdhury as the chief guest.
It may be mentioned here that with 1035.93 acres of land, Sirajganj Economic Zone is the first private economic zone in the northern region of Bangladesh and will be the country’s largest private economic zone, which will host textile and knitwear units apart from automobile engineering, leather, ship building industries, etc.
Amongst the 14 investors who were allotted land parcels recently are Apex Footwear Limited, Continental Garments Industries, Ratul Fabric Limited, Active Composite Mills Limited, Rising Holdings Limited, Rising Spinning Mills Limited and Square Accessories Limited.
