At an e-special general meeting or EGM of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) held recently, the garment makers’ body created a new post of Executive President even as it also increased its Directors’ post from 26 to 35 while the posts of the Vice-Presidents have also been increased from four to five.
Media reports maintained this while adding the ESM, presided over by BKMEA President AKM Selim Osman and attended by more than 300 members, was held at the Cooperative Bank building in Chashara, Narayanganj.
The reports, citing sources, further maintained the garment makers’ body announced it wants to create an Executive President’s post for its current Vice-President Mohammad Hatem even as increasing the posts of Executive President, Directors and Vice-Presidents have, reportedly, been approved in the EGM, while also adding that as per rules, it should be incorporated in the memorandum at the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies through the Ministry of Commerce.
Following the EGM, the BKMEA Annual General Meeting (AGM) was, reportedly, held.
