Forum, a panel of the country’s garment makers, recognized six women leaders for their outstanding contribution in the country’s readymade garment (RMG) sector in different categories.
Rokeya Quader, chairperson of Desh Group of Companies, Kaniz Fatema Reema, managing director Ibrahim Knit Garments (Pvt) Ltd, Samiha Azim, managing director Shinest Group, Dr. Rubana Huq, former president of BGMEA and also vice chancellor of Asian University for Women, Shabnam Shehnaz Chowdhury, vice-chairperson of Evince Textiles Limited and Nuria Lopez, managing director of Zalo Knitting Ltd, according to a statement.
The panel at a celebration event of International Women’s day held on Friday at Gulshan Club awarded the women leaders who have been relentlessly pushing the boundaries in the RMG industry every day as a token of appreciation.
