Vietnam’s textile and garment industry has met its target of $44 billion in export turnover this year, up more than 11 percent year-on-year (YoY), according to data from the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS). VITAS also set an export target of $47-48 billion in 2025.

VITAS Chairman Vu Duc Giang told a domestic news agency that Vietnam’s exports have seen positive results even though global consumption of textile and apparel products has not increased this year.
Due to the Vietnam-Eurasian Economic Union free trade agreement, the country’s textile exports to Russia have seen a significant increase of $1 billion this year.
The country’s textiles and apparel are now exported to more than 100 markets worldwide, including new markets such as Africa and the Middle East.
