Egypt to host 1st pan-African leather fair in June 2020

Exhibition organiser Informa Markets and Cairo for Investment and Development recently announced the launch of the first edition of Pan African Leather Fair in Cairo from June 21 to 23 next year. It will be backed by the Egyptian Export Council for Leather, Footwear and Leather Products and the African Leather & Leather Products Institute (ALLPI).
The launch of the fair is considered to be the official marketing channel for the new Robbiki city and an important centre for attracting foreign investments, according to a report in a financial and business news website in the Middle East.
To be held annually, the aim is to position the event to become the essential platform for the leather industry in Africa and the Middle East to come together and engage in business. The fair is an expansion to the Asian Pacific Leather Fair (APLF), the world’s leading leather trade fair, which Informa Markets has been organising in Hong Kong for over 30 years. The design and quality of the fair will be replicated to create the largest and most important event for the leather sector in the region, attracting exhibitors and visitors from all over the world.
