Once again Bangladesh’s denim sector continued its excellence in exporting denim clothing to the USA.
According to recently published US Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA) data, Bangladesh exported denim worth $520.16 million in the USA market from January to September 2021 calendar period. Registering a whopping 31.40% yearly increase.
The denim demand in the USA market is growing significantly in 2021. The OTEXA data revealed that the country has imported denim apparel worth $2.54 billion January to September 2021 calendar period. With a 28.56% Y-o-Y growth.
Among other top denim exporting countries, Mexico followed Bangladesh and exported $471.78 million worth of denim attires to the USA in the first 9-month period of 2021, growing 46.53% yearly.
While Vietnam exported $278.69 million worth of denim to the USA in Jan to Sep ’21 period.
Pakistan has performed outstandingly and exported denim worth $275.89 million in January to September 21 period – up by 63.40%. Pakistan outperformed China, which earned $274.63 million.
