CCCI trade promotion centre to be set up in Sydney

An initiative has been taken to set up a trade and investment promotion centre of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) in Sydney, aiming to expand the market of Bangladeshi products in Australia, boost bilateral trades and attract investment. CCCI President Mabbubul Alam and former president M Abdul Latif, MP said this while exchanging views with Australian company Linden Group Chairman Dr John Saunders in Sydney on Friday, said a press release on Saturday. At the views-exchange meeting, Abdul Latif said the main goal of the centre is to exploit the optimum economic potentials between Bangladesh and Australia through public and private joint efforts. The centre will play a strong role as a platform of businesspeople from both the countries, he hoped. Noting the CCCI role in development of the private sector in Chittagong, Mr Alam said the trade and investment promotion centre would open a new era forging a bridge between businessmen of the friendly countries. Commercial Councilor of Bangladesh High Commission, Australia Dr Nasim Ahmed, chairman of Global Cosmetics Ltd chairman Mukitur Rahman, its managing director Foysal Hasan were, among others, present.
