A two-day ‘Bangladesh Denim Expo’ will begin in the capital on November 11 next to showcase Bangladesh-made denim and jeans items to the international producers and buyers. About 50 denim-related manufactures and enterprises from 15 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Mexico, Spain, Turkey, Hong Kong, Brazil, Australia, Russia and Bangladesh, will take part in the exposition at International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital, said a press release, reports UNB. CEO of the expo Mostafiz Uddin said this November, they are going to organise the expo at a grand scale after getting huge response from across the world during the last Bangladesh Denim Expo in May last. The organisers say they expect that nearly 4,000 apparel entrepreneurs, businessmen, fashion professionals and other stakeholders of 1,200 companies from 60 countries will visit the expo. The show’s aim is not only to promote the denim trade in Bangladesh but also to encourage better business practices and raise the living standard of the people in this country, said Mustafiz. “Our primary purpose is to create a platform for Denim stakeholders and to make Bangladesh as one-stop sourcing platform for denim industry, which could bring benefits to the entrepreneurs,” he said. Six seminars will be held on the sidelines of the exposition while a special feature titled ‘Trend Zone’ to be displayed focusing on latest and future denim trend.
