The seventh edition of Bangladesh denim expo will begin on March 1, which aims to share, interact and establish future relationship between buyers and manufacturers. The two-day show will be held at Radisson Blu Hotel Dhaka, said a press release. The show is expected to bring together a selection of highly-respected denim-mills and limit the size of the show to maintain exclusivity, said the statement. It will remain open from 11am to 7.30pm every day. “Bangladesh is the fastest growing denim destination globally for sourcing fabrics and has been growing exponentially and quickly rising up the value chain,” said Denimsandjeans.com Founder Sandeep Agarwal. He also said that the spring of 2017 in Bangladesh is going to witness denim in a new avatar of getting “mashed up.” The theme of the seventh edition of the show is “Denim Mashup.” It has been a subtle trend over many years, and now they are seeing its strong resurgence across multiple brands worldwide from luxury brands like Gucci to fast fashion retailers like Zara and H&M, all are taking up this as the next cool denim trend in 2017, said the statement. The theme is a youth-centric denim theme, especially for young women, which brings the fun-feel of the 90’s complete with all over embellishment, shredding and chain details, embroideries, exaggerated proportions, quilted surfaces, fabric mixes, etc, also said the statement. The organiser hopes that they will recreate this theme using products from some of the key global denim suppliers and bring them under this theme together during the show. During the show, there will have seminars, live presentations, panel discussions and workshops on global denim innovations and trends.
