About 26 Bangladeshi fabrics and garment manufacturers are participating in a 4-day international apparel exposition in Paris that began on Sunday.The expo titled “Texworld – Apparel Sourcing, Paris” is the largest sourcing fair for garments and fabrics in France which will continue till today (Wednesday).Among the Bangladeshi participants, about 21 fabric and garments manufacturers joined the expo under the banner of Export Promotion Bureau of Bangladesh (EPB). EPB set a national pavilion for the Bangladeshi participants.Rests of manufacturers are taking part in the expo as individual participants.Of the total Bangladeshi participants – 18 were from Knitwear, 3 from Denim and 3 fabric manufacturers.Bangladesh Ambassador in Paris Kazi Imtiaz Hossain, Commercial Counselor Dilara Begum, and Commerce Ministry Deputy Secretary Rathindra Nath Datta visited the fair.Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) Joint Secretary Abu Hena Morshed Zaman also attended the event.Dilara Begum said, “Entrepreneurs got a huge opportunity to expose themselves to the potential buyers.This is indeed a great beneficial for the country’s market and product diversification.”Texworld/Apparel Sourcing Paris is one of the best options for Bangladesh RMG sector to improve their market share not just in France but all over Europe.Combined with apparel sourcing, a total of 1,023 exhibitors participated in the fair. The fair recorded over 15,000 visitors worldwide. Visitors come from all over Europe with a large number of buyers from UK, France, Turkey, Spain, Italy and Germany, said a statement of the Messe Frankfurt.Bangladeshi stands were seen busy with trade enquiries and buyers from USA, UK, Turkey, Germany, France and other European and Central Asian countries.Participants from Bangladesh including Zaber and Zubair Fabrics Ltd., NZ Fabrics Ltd. and Padma Bleaching and Dyeing Ltd. attended the fair under fabric category while Arong Denims Ltd., Aaron Denim Ltd., and Evince Textiles Ltd. took part under denim fabric category.Ayesha and Galeya Fashions, BDS Alliance, Dip Knitwear, Ershad Knit Fashion, Euro Knitwear, Fame Apparels, Fiat Fashion, Kleider Sourcing, Network Clothing, Oyritex Limited, PRO Makers Sweater, Quality Fashion Wear, Ratool Apparels, R.S. Sweater, Redwan Tex and Apparels, Ruposhi Sweaters, Tua – Ha Textiles and Yunusco BD displayed products under apparel category.Zaber and Zubair Senior Gernal Manager Pradip Khatri said, “As always expected, we talked to more than 50 potential buyers at our booth.BDS Alliance Managing Director Enamul Kabir said, “We appeared for the first time in Apparel Sourcing and got really positive responses from the customers and thinking to attend this fair again.”The next Texworld/Apparel Sourcing USA will be held from 23 – 25 July, 2018.
