The commerce minister and state minister for labour will sit with garment leaders and factory owners on Tuesday afternoon, in the wake of garment workers’ unrest over the implementation of minimum wage.The meeting will be held at the labour ministry at 4:00pm.Hundreds of garment workers have taken to the streets for a third successive day to demand a minimum wage hike and to press a series of other demands.State Minister for Labour and Employment Monnujan Sufian will presided over the meeting. Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi will also attend the meeting.
