Malaysia’s ruling coalition Pakatan Harapan President Anwar Ibrahim said Bangladesh is growing faster with the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He came up with the statements when Bangladesh’s Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment State Minister Imran Ahmad held a courtesy meeting at Ibrahim’s office in Kuala Lumpur on Friday. While talking to the minister Anwar Ibrahim said, “The people of Bangladesh is very industries. Malaysian government is working for the welfare, rights, wages and residence facilities of the Bangladeshi labourers in Malaysia.” He also said that the Malaysian government has taken up a new policy on foreign workers-management for the wellbeing of workers. Imran Ahmed went to Malaysia on May 12 for a week-long visit. Earlier, he held meeting with Malaysian Human Resources Minister M Kulasegaran and Home Minister Muhyiddin Yassin. The Welfare and Overseas Employment State Minister also sought more Malaysian investments in Bangladesh. Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Muhammad Shahidul Islam, Councilor (Labour) Md Jahirul Islam, First Secretary Md Hedayetul Islam Mondal (Labour) were also present during the visit.
