Dongyi Sourcing aspires to achieve $250m apparel export by 2030

Bangladesh’s one of leading sourcing companies – DSL celebrates its star-studded 3rd anniversary

Mofazzal Hosen Pavel, Managing Director, Dongyi Sourcing Limited (DSL) stressed his dream that by 2030 Bangladesh’s one of the leading sourcing giants Dongyi Sourcing Limited will achieve a $250 million in readymade garment (RMG) export.

Mofazzal Hosen Pavel made this ambitious target at DSL’s 3rd anniversary grand event at a hotel in Dhaka on 13 January. Where, Bangladesh’s Faruque Hassan, President, Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) was the Chief Guest. And Kazi Iftaquer Hossain, President, Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association; Emdadul Haque Miazi, Secretary, BGEA, Asadur Rahman, Chairman, Fariha Knit tex Ltd; Ekram Hossain, Director, AZ Group, RMG industry leaders, DSL’s factory partners, representatives from brands and DSL’s global and local team were present at the event.

Mofazzal Hosen Pavel started DSL’s journey amid the COVID-19 pandemic and within 3 year short journey DSL established its strong foothold in 8 countries – including the UK, Hong Kong, China, Canada, Turkey, India and Pakistan – with an annual turnover of $39 million apparel export in 2022. In terms of product capacity, DSL produces womenswear, menswear, and kidswear items.

Mofazzal Hosen Pavel said, “Bangladesh’s RMG industry aspires to achieve $100 billion earnings through garment export by 2030 and as a valuable contributor of this industry, Dongyi Sourcing wants to contribute a $250 million apparel export to aid the country’s export target. My motto is if my partners grow DSL will grow and ultimately, our overall industry will grow in the long term. So, as a champion in ethical business – DSL and its partner factories want to grow along with people, planet and business.”

“By working with our leading associations, BGMEA and BGBA– DSL will soon be one of the biggest RMG export contributors.”

In terms of global footprint, Mofazzal Hosen Pavel said, “Dongyi Sourcing is operating in 8 countries with all of my business partners’ seamless support. And we always want to remain an ethical business partner for retailers and manufacturers.”

From customer liaison, and fashion design to fabric sourcing, to on-time shipment – we provide our customers with the absolute best. Mofazzal Hosen said, “For being a valued sourcing partner to leading retailers like Next, Inditex, LPP, Kaporal, John Lewis, Jeanologie, Walmart, etc. And the good thing is that other renowned high-street brands are in the pipeline. Putting DSL on the right track to grow more.”

“Although the world is expecting an economic slowdown in 2023 this does not put out Dongyi Sourcing – rather we are planning to reach $70 million apparel export. And with all my team members’ and partners’ support, we are hungry to grow more.”

Faruque Hassan, President, BGMEA said, “Dongyi Sourcing has done incredibly well in just 3 years and I believe that they will achieve their apparel export target in 2030 which will greatly aid in the country’s overall RMG export target.”

And Bangladesh’s apparel export achieved over $45 billion in FY2022-23. Bangladesh is the most reliable and sustainable RMG sourcing destination right now.”

“In terms of sustainability, in December 2022, 30 new factories became USGBC Certified LEED factories.”

Later, DSL honored its partners with mementos at the event.
