A delegation from Bangladesh attended the ‘XI International Uzbek Cotton and Textile Fair’ held in Tashkent on October 15. The delegation led by Bangladesh ambassador to Uzbekistan Mosud Mannan held a meeting with Ergashev Ibrohim Kenjabaevich, the first deputy minister of foreign economic relations, investments and the trade of the republic of Uzbekistan, according to information received in Dhaka on Friday. During the meeting the delegation members mentioned that as one of the world’s largest producers and exporters of cotton, Uzbekistan was undoubtedly one of the leading participants in the world cotton market. The Bangladesh delegation laid emphasis on reopening of air service between Uzbekistan and Bangladesh for strengthening businesses between the two countries. Deputy minister Kenjabaevich welcomed the participants and said that Bangladesh became the integral part of the cotton fair which was being held every year. Bangladesh is one of the big buyers of the Uzbek cotton, he said, adding that the embassy of Bangladesh in Uzbekistan played important role in this respect.
