British businessmen express interest to invest in B’desh

The visiting NRB (non resident Bangladeshi) British businessmen have expressed interest to invest in their native country Bangladesh in the wake of investment friendly environment in Bangladesh. A four-member trade delegation from the UK held a exceptionally prolific meeting with the leaders of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) at the FBCCI office. The visiting British businessmen under the banner of ‘UK-Bangladesh Catalysts of Commerce and Industry (UKBCCI)’ met with the directors of FBCCI board to discuss the business prospects and investment opportunities in Bangladesh. UKBCCI President Bajloor Rashid MBE and FBCCI President Abdul Matlub Ahmed led their respective sides at the meeting. They discussed investment oppoturnities in different sectors of Bangladesh in the meeting. To promote bilateral trade UK delegation agreed to arrange trade shows in each other countries every year; They also desired to invest in Bangladesh and interested to share information on trade and investment with Bangladeshi businessmen. UKBCCI directors Abdur Rouf JP, Azad AN and M A Gani and FBCCI secretary general Mir Shahabuddin Mohammad and secretary (international) Hussain Jamil were also present at the meeting.
