Leaders of Bangladesh Garment Sramik Sanghati on Friday demanded exemplary punishment of the owners of Rana Plaza including Sohel Rana on charge of killing more than 1300 workers in the building’s collapse in 2013 at a human chain formed at Savar Bus Stand, on the outskirts of the capital. GSS formed the one-hour human chain from 11:00am and afterwards held a rally in front of the Rana Plaza site, marking the elapse of 39 month of the collapse.GSS president Taslima Akther expressed her deep concern over delaying in trial of the case.She also demanded that the wage of the garment workers should be increased immediately.Chaired by GSS local leader Alam Matubbar, the rally was addressed by its central leaders Shiuli Akter, Rupali Akter and Pradip Roy, among others.
