Cotton prices remained under pressure on Tuesday as slow activity in the yarn market discouraged spinners who generally preferred to stay away. Until last week, most Punjab spinners were meeting their cotton demand from Sindh, reports The Media.The Cotton Crop Assessment Committee in its first meeting held on Tuesday in Islamabad is reported to have placed cotton production estimates for the 2016-17 season at around 11.272 million bales.
