BGMEA polls: Forum candidates vow to work for industry, unselfishly

With the much-awaited election of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) round the corner (4 April), all candidates nominated by the Forum, have, reportedly, pledged to work selflessly for the RMG industry and its advancement.

This was maintained in a recent media report, which added that the Forum candidates took oath in this direction, at an event titled, Forum Panel Introduction, held in the capital recently.

We will ensure transparency and accountability in the sector if we are elected, reportedly, maintained A.B.M. Shamsuddin, Former Vice-President (Finance) of BGMEA, who is leading the Forum Panel, and went on to add the future of the country’s (Bangladesh) apparel industry  depends on the BGMEA leadership.

So, you all will cast your vote to observe good leadership, reportedly, stated Shamsuddin even as the current BGMEA President Dr. Rubana Huq, who is also, reportedly, contesting the election as a panel member of Forum, on her part stated, “If our panel is elected, we will finish our unfinished work….”
