Competitive pricing and quality bringing home textile buyers to B’desh: Reports

Even as the use of home textiles has witnessed an increase globally on account of COVID-19 as people are staying home for longer periods as per industry people, Bangladesh is witnessing an increasing number of home textile buyers coming to the country with at least eight entities from USA and Europe, who earlier bought home textile products from China and Pakistan, starting business with Bangladeshi exporters in the last six months even as home textile exports from the country (Bangladesh) increased in the last financial year.

Media reports maintained this while adding that as per the Bangladesh Terry Towel and Linen Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BTTLMEA), the eight new buyers that have started business with Bangladesh in the last six months include the US-based well-known Standard Textile even as Chairman of BTTLMEA M Shahadat Hossain has, reportedly, claimed that his company has started business with more than one exporter, including Towel Tex.

…The company used to import home textiles from Pakistan, reportedly, claimed the BTTLMEA Chairman even as reports suggest that one of the two home textile companies of the Noman Group, which is the largest home textile exporter in Bangladesh, has recently got a new buyer.
